I feel that there are many people who don’t understand the mv and the meaning behind it and I sort of explained it on twitter so I feel that I should also do it here. To put it plainly, the mv is about young people who are just going through life without actually living. They are lost they are hurting and they have gotten to a point where they don’t see meaning in their lives. This is why we see Jungkook letting himself get beat up we see Jhope overdosing on pills Suga lighting himself/the room on fire Jimin crying alone in the bathtub inconsolable. While struggling to find meaning in their existence they all begin to self destruct. I believe that when this song was written that this was the intended meaning behind it its not just about them being sad about a relationship that is coming to an end. Some of us, if not all of us, have struggled with these kinds of feelings at some point, not knowing why we are living or what our purpose is and although being young can be beautiful it can also be incredibly difficult and tragic and thats what they intended to show in this mv. They wanted to show that although there are times of happiness, like when they were all together, there are also moments where we struggle just to get through life trying to find ourselves and our purpose and understand what the point to all of this is. All in all, the meaning is basically that youth can be the most beautiful time in our lives but it can also be the most horrible and difficult time in our lives and some of us don’t make it through those hard times. So, watch out for your friends watch out for yourself if you need help look for it if your friend or someone you know needs help extend your hand to them. We all go through hardships trying to find our meaning and purpose we aren’t alone.
